Youth offending, sexual explotation and trafficking: what are the links?

This conference, presented by Banardo's and the University of Bedfordshire, offers youth justice practitioners a chance to explore issues around trafficked and sexually exploited young people who offend. YJB chief executive John Drew will be speaking at this event.

Monitoring Performance

The YJB monitors the performance of the secure estate and of youth offending teams (YOTs). The secure estate is monitored to measure their performance against what they have contractually agreed to, and our own standards. YOTs are similarly monitored and assessed in order to gauge their performance and gather information that can be used to continually improve their effectiveness.

This section covers this monitoring and contains information on:

the Youth Justice Performance Improvement Framework
the YOT data collected to support monitoring and planning, and made available to help with analysis
the Data Recording Guidance which defines the data YOTs return to the YJB
the performance indicators the YJB uses to monitor the secure estate
the national Annual Youth Justice Workload Data and regional statistics
dealing effectively with serious incidents.
