The YJB today welcomes the juvenile reoffending results published by the Ministry of Justice.
Ellie Roy, YJB Chief Executive, said:
“This is positive news and provides a strong foundation from which the likelihood of reoffending can be further reduced.
Reoffending rates, for many groups of young people, continue to fall which reflects the effective work going on within local authorities, custody and the community.
All the available research points to a reduction in reoffending once young people are given better access to education, training, accommodation, substance misuse and mental health support. By working together to tackle reoffending communities are safer, there is less crime and fewer victims.”
