Intensive Intervention Projects target 1,000 of the most challenging young people every year, using the 'triple track' approach and applying lessons from Family Intervention Projects. The allocation process, which was an action of the Youth Taskforce Action Plan, will identify twenty organisations that will receive funding of up to £650,000 for up to three years to develop a project. Grants will be paid by direct grant in 2008/09 and 2009/10.
The YJB supports the Youth Taskforce, which is seeking to ensure a balance between support and enforcement, based on the tiered approach to anti-social behaviour that the YJB has consistently promoted. We are working with the DCSF to help co-ordinate the implementation of the Youth Taskforce Action Plan.
