Ellie Roy, Chief Executive, has announced her departure from the YJB.
She moves to take up an exciting new post at UK Borders Agency,
leading on cross-Government co-ordination, at the beginning of August.
Ellie Roy said:
“It is with great sadness that I announce my departure. I have enjoyed my four years and I am very proud of the improvements which I have led during my time. We have expanded the number of prevention programmes, made significant improvements to information sharing to help safeguard young people in custody, helped to change the custodial regimes and ensured that reducing youth offending is central to the new local government performance framework.”
Frances Done, Chair of the YJB, said:
“Ellie has led the organisation through significant achievements and challenges. The YJB has made major changes in the past four years which will endure for many years to come. I wish Ellie all the best in her new post. Our thoughts and good wishes go with her.”
