The Youth Justice Board's art exhibition for young people in custody will be held at our Annual Convention, so please make sure your entries are in by 31 October.
At the Convention (11/12 November 2003) we stage an art exhibition that celebrates the work of young people in custody. The show is always well received with coverage in Youth Justice Board News, and a £20 gift voucher awarded to the top entry in each category.
Last year we were swamped by the huge response and so we would appreciate assistance by clearly labelling the back of each piece with the entrant's name, age and your address.
Every year we receive a mixture of collage, painting, needlework, print and craft objects (such as examples of woodwork skills). So there is a free run on materials, with the only considerations being size and vulnerability to damage. We would prefer that two-dimensional work does not exceed A2 size and that three-dimensional work is constrained within 12”x12”.
Judging for the exhibition will take place on the second day, with prizes awarded within the following four categories: under-15s and 15 to 17-year-olds in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional work.
The deadline for this competition is 31 October 2003. Please ensure we receive all entries by this date.
