Safer School Partnerships (Summary) (B224)
Bullying, truancy and exclusion from school are known to be linked with higher risks of offending and anti-social behaviour: excluded young people, for instance, are more than twice as likely to commit offences as children in mainstream education. The Safer School Partnerships programme aims to reduce these problems by placing police officers in schools. This research evaluates its success to date, and provides a general overview of the programme.
